New Am bike time again

Hi chaps , The canyon is finally to small for me so the time has come for a new rig. I'm aware this has been asked so many times, Nothing nice to say? Don't say it

Currently ride a 2012 canyon nerve Am 7 in medium and its tiny on me now, I'm still growing too ... With riding 4x and jump before I'd still like to be able to hit that kind of thing. I've rode a five round a car park and i did like it ...


Key things I want are:
Tough- Aggressive riding style and love my jumps and DH.
1x10/ 2x10
Gravity dropper - Reverb ideally
Around 3 grand budget
140mm-160mm travel
Need it before xmas



Currently looking at Orange fives , Nukeproof Mega's , Metas, Trances , Don't really want another canyon tho the strive is appealing. Would like to try 650b. I generally ride quite high mileage rides and nearly every night after work.


Any input is appreciated

is my thoughts - orange far too expensive, commencials are pretty heavy and crapy warranty from what I gather and giants are gay lol

I have just built a Nukeproof Mega TR. Haven't had a proper ride on it yet but it's a beautifully built frame with some nice features.
A couple mates have the Mega AM and they love them.
I was really tempted by the Giant Trance but the fork is rubbish and with a queer size steerer.

Use the kit off your strive and buy a frame only? Wont get you 650B I guess but the kit would transfer pretty well to a Mega or Mega TR or a SC Nomad perhaps.

For 650B the Sight or Range look good options, the Heckler if you liked the 5's single pivot but wanted a bike people wont point and laugh at, or the Mega AM/TR in a 650B option.
