In need of a new set of pivot bearings for my 2008 Scott Genius MC30. Have seen them on evil bay but was wondering if there's anywhere else that could supply them.

Cheers all.

Nowt wrong with the kits you get on eBay but have you also tired BETD?

Otherwise just look at the code on the side and order from a regular bearing supplier (again eBay is probably best bet). That way you won't have to pay "MTB Tax"

Dont necessarily think the full kits are expensive from some dealers. Spesh kits vary from about £40 upwards. Thats maybe 8 or 10 quality cartridge bearings, some custom washers and fittings. Not a bad price if you look at it, and saves having to ID each bearing and get it right.

Go to your local bearing shop and ask for Koyo bearings. I have done various trials of bearings on Quarry machinery (wet, dirty & heavy loady but low speeds) and Koyo performed far better than anything else. Lasting longer but also staying smooth until the end.
Suspension bearings work on part turn only so every few months strip the suspension and spin the bearings 90 degrees before re assembly to get the maximum life out of them.
