Could anyone point me in the direction of a cheap, speed/cadence sensor compatible with a Garmin Edge 305? Do I need to buy a Garmin one?
Is only for my old bike to put on the turbo so looking for as cheap as possible.
Thanks

Is the 305 ANT+? If so, how about one of these:

Haven't tried one myself but must be at least as reliable as a Garmin one.....0 -
ant+ on it's own doesn't guarantee compatibility, both devices need to support the same profile(s) to work together
but i'd think the 305 will be ok with the decathlon one as there're two ways in ant+ to do speed and cadence and the 305 supports both (unlike some computers)
check the directory for other options...

...unfortunately not all manufacturers add their products, but if you do see something listed as compatible it will be okmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -

that looks a good price! I got a combined Motorola unit from evans which works seamlessly with my Bryton Rider 50 via ant+, but that was around £25. The best ones are the Motorola Activ and Bontrager Interchange. The Decathlon one is OK but not the most sleek design. They are all better than the Garmin one which can't easily be swapped between bikes.0

Great shout on the Decathlon sensor. Fitted it this morning and was really easy. Thanks for the heads up.0
