exposure lights reflex question

Not sure if this is correct forum but here i go, purchased exposures top of the range reflex front light last week and been using it all week but don't seem to notice the light changing brightness automatically when climbing hill or dimming when stopped, i have it set on programme 1 ( setting for automatic control). Is there anyone out there use one of these lights and if so is it very noticeable when lamp changes brightness and what happens to yours when you stop for a little while ??

The one I played with it was reasonably obvious, but as others have said on the other forum in use it's not that apparent. I guess it's like photochromic glasses, you don't notice them changing, they just do.
