Can anybody recommend a Bike Shop in Inverness / Black Isle area, you can tust for servicing your bike ??

Not exactly spoilt for choice in Inverness despite them liking to think of themselves as some kind of cycling capital.

I have heard good things about Bikes of Inverness on Grant Street - i.e.apparently they know their stuff, but havent used them myself.

Havent heard bad things about the others, just havent heard anything.

The guys in the Alpine Bikes concession in Tiso seemed to know their stuff when I was talking to them the other week.

Yup, lots of friends use Bikes of Inverness and rate it highly. There is also Square Wheels in Strathpeffer who are good. I haven't used them for any bike repairs as I do that myself but I know the people who run it and I'm sure they'd be very trustworthy.

I bought my MTB from Bikes of Inverness and used them to sort a problem with my Allez.

Impressed with them on both occassions and would recommend them.

Tried Highland Bikes on shore street once and wasn't impressed. Felt the staff were a bit smug and condescending.

The bane of all specialised retailers, reminds me of a sign in the back area of a HMV I was delivering to, "We will respect our customers taste in music!."
