Crud Roadracers on a Cervelo S1 - anyone?

After a frustrating hour this afternoon trying to fit some Roadracers to my S1, i've had to walk away in frustration as I can't get them to fit without some rubbing. I always thought it would be tight, but was assured they would fit 'any' road bike.
Has anyone else successfully managed to achieve fitting them without any rubbing?
I'm running 23mm tyres.
