some program on about the rendlesham forest incident at the mo, to anyone who knows the area, will know it was not caused by the lighthouse... but in peoples opinions what was it, i know there are plenty of military types and flyboys on here, any experiences/thoughts on the subject (not necesarrily rendlesham, just UFO stuff in general) in your careers?

personally id guess it was some experimental aircraft of terrestrial origin as most probably are.

First off I do not believe for one minute that any UFOs are from 'outer space'. They can be explained away by many rare phenomena ie meteorological conditions. However I do think there are a many instances where experimental aircraft are the UFO.
I used to work with a retired bush pilot who lived up on Salisbury Plains, near to Boscombe Down, and he claimed that on occasions there was quite a lot of activity during the night (midnight thru to early hours). Boscombe Down is normally regarded as a 9-5 air base as its home to the Empire Test Pilots School. He has also seen some experimental aircraft during the day, though at high altitude, on one occasion spotting 4x F117 (stealth fighters) escorting a very much larger unidentified plane.
Interestingly there is a story on the interweb about a possible crash of USAF experimental or 'black project'.

Another indication of the sensitivity of the base is that there are 'No photography or filming notices' on the fencing. This I find strange as anyone with decent equipment can wonder up the road and take images of the whole site.

Er, why don't the "UFOs" land once in a while? :)

In cases such as Rendlesham forest it seems likely that the witnesses are embarrassed to have been running around in the forest chasing the distant lights of a lighthouse / emergency vehicle / plane coming in to land, and are now sticking to their stories so they don't look like such colossal pillocks. Compare
    1. I know what I saw, and it wasn't any of the standard explanations. The Americans are covering something up

    2. Oh yeah, now I come to think about it we were all running around in the woods with our ar$e on backwards for no reason. Still, those lights do look a bit odd from a distance

and decide which line you'd come out with. Especially after you've already gone on record numerous times with #1.
