Budget Wheelset

I'm looking to buy a wheelset with a maximum budget of £110 including delivery.

I do mainly XC and nothing more extreme than Dalby Red. No jumps, No downhilling etc. I'm 6ft but around 15 stone. My fork is QR and for 26" wheels

Options are:

I'm edging towards the Summits but open to suggestions.

    You might get more bang for your buck if you consider 2nd hand.

    For example, I just got a set of used 2013 Mavic Crossmax ST for around 1/3 of their £600 RRP and apart from one or two tiny scuffs (which I have now touched up) you’d struggle to tell the difference between them and a new set.

    Flatoutcycles.co.uk have loads of wheelsets at the moment, but also try Pinkbike, eBay, SingleTrackWorld and of course the classifieds on here ;)

    Thanks Lee - believe me I'm all over ebay, Pinkbike, STW & Flatout.

    Part of the issue is that I don't really know in what state they'll arrive and may have to pay out again on getting them serviced. The little savings found (so far) don't really make that worthwhile. I've a few on watch lists due to end by the weekend, so asked here first about new wheels with warranties.

    I can sympathise with that mate. You do take a gamble on used stuff so only really worth it if big savings to be made.

    Anything from Flatout should be ok though, as I believe they check and service all items before sale.

    Still, warranty can count for a lot too.

    Hope you find something suitable anyway ;)

    Pair of Mavic EX721 on Deore flangeless hubs, 6bolt discs......can pm you some photo's if you are interested.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
