I currently have 3x10 42-32-24T, to go from this to a double and bash would I just need a 32-34 bash, remove the 42t, bolt on the bash and remove a few chain links?

And adjust the high stop on the front mech.
Although I'd measure the chain, not just take a few links out.

An ally bash will just bolt on, a plastic one will usually need longer chainring bolts....which usually means removing the crankset to get the grannt ring off to change them!
