BB30 wavy spring washer help
Just bought a specialized Tarmac BB30 frame.
I need to put new BB30 bearings in. I have some adapters that fit on the outside of the bearings for a Shimano hollowtec II crank.
Do I need the wavy spring washer that I see advsertised with some bearing sets?
Also do I need rubber seals for the outside of the bearings or will the adapters squash the seals?

You don't need the wavy washers as you use the adjuster on the NDS crank before tightening the pinch-bolts.
The bearings have integral rubber seals and provided the crank is installed correctly there's little chance of distorting the bearing seals.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
THANKS
what is the adjuster on the NDS? The crank is Ultegra 6700? I thought that it just slotted over the splines and Bobs your Uncle?0 -
The adjuster is the plastic knurled tool you insert into the non-drive crank retainer to adjust the bearing pre-load before tightening the pinch-bolts:
