Hey Guys, first time posting on bikeradar and i could do with some advise on which bike to go for.
I,ve been looking at the Cube Fritzz 160 hpa tm 27.5
http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Fritzz-160-HPA-TM-27-5-Mountain-Bike-2014-Full-Suspension-MTB_66736.htm?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=AdwordsProductAds&utm_campaign=Adwords&gclid=CPC8v_qe8boCFYsBwwodNTMARQ
But my local bike shop has said they could build me this Heckler build for £100 more then the Fritzz
2014 Heckler Frame
Rock Shock Pike
Renthal Bar, grips & Stem
Cane Creek Headset (sealed)
WTB Silver Line Saddle
XT 2x10 Groupset inc Brakes
Rock Shox Reverb post
Hope Hoops Wheels/Stans Flow EX 650b
WTB Vigilante Tyres 650b
Im really stuck between the two. The custom build of the heckler would be amazing but the gear and price of the Fritzz looks to good to miss out on.
Any advice or any other recommendations would be much appreciated
Thanks Will.

What terrain do you plan to ride on?0
-
A mix really I live near Cannock chase so that's where it'll get its main use also coed y brenin and llandegla. There are the three main places we ride.0
-
If you can stand the looks of the Fritzz personally that's what I'd get0
-
Id take the Heckler given the choice of those two, (But wit Fox fork) much better frame.0
-
Why is the frame better? Curious! Different suspension systems granted.0
-
And why put the Fox on instead? Concensus seems to be that the Pike's better than a Fox 34, for substantially less cash. And those black stanchions are just divine, dahling...0
-
Just a personal thing on both fronts (Having test ridden them) each to their own as they say. Always advise testing when spending this kind of dollar.0
-
CAWT. I wouldn't be buying a bike in that kind of price bracket without a good long test ride.0

Heckler would get my money. Santa Cruz frames always ride great and last forever.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Lifetime bearing warranty too?0

That's nice but not a major thing. £25 every few years for a set of bearings is not really an issue.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Better than having to pay for them though, and shows that the manufacturer have faith in their product.0
-
I think it's more of a marketing ploy. Is it worth trying to claim a lifetime warranty on bearings where I might have to return the bike to the bike shop or should I just order new ones off the website and replace them myself and not be without my bike while it's argued about?0

If you like the ride of both bikes - go for the heckler on the basis that its a single pivot and therefore less maintenance and its a famously robust frame. All Heckler owners I've ever met love them even if single pivots have their limitations in certain situations (uphill usually). Santa Cruz are massive desirable, so it should command a better selling price should you for (what ever reason) want to sell it on. Plus I personally think the kit list on the heckler is spot on and good value for money (for a Santa Cruz bike) and edges the Frittz (IMO).Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320

What's wrong with single pivots for climbing? An Orange 5 pedals better than a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR.
Its all about the pivot position, not the number of pivots.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Santa Cruz but I do have a Solo so im Biased.
I did have an Orange 5 pro for years but I like this Solo much better, test drive it if in doubt..0 -
