Christmas shopping advice please

Time to put together my list for Granny, Grandad and the kids.

No need for budget items. Its my birthday just before Christmas and they always "combine" presents so only best of breed recommendations please. If they are going to cheat me out of a gift then I shall make them pay.

Pump. Having lashed out for bigger tyres so that I can run at a lower pressure setting, it seems sensible to get a pump that can accurately read pressures when over 100psi. My gauge looks as accurate as a wet finger for wind testing. What would you recommend?

Travel stuff. Fine to have a big pump but when I am off on the bike or overseas how do I check the pressure? Are there any nice little pressure gauges? Digital?

Wind jacket. Something sleek, light, shower proof and stuffable.

Road shoes. Lightweight, but not too obvious when I walk into the pub. SPD cleats.

Any other ideas?

Many thanks.

If you are looking for a decent track pump then the Bontrager Charger is an excellent piece of kit and a good price too (sorry, I know budget doesn't matter but I am thinking of the kids!). Btw, lower pressures and you are looking at over 100psi?? I know folks weight different amounts but I can run 85/95 on 23's in the summer.

As for travelling pump, why not get a decent one that you can take on a ride too. I was very impressed with the Topeak range (Road Morph, I think is the one a friend used). The guage ain't great but it does give a good indication and, best of all, the pump actually works very well without being too heavy.

Road shoes? Depends on what kind of rides you do. I go up to about 250km and prefer something very stiff to avoid hotspots, etc. Hence, the Spesh BG carbon sole range works very well in the MTB version (note, MTB for SPD, Road for SPD-SL). However, my wife does shorter rides and likes the Tahoe as they are also ok for walking around in (I just walk to the cafe counter and back, etc.).

Other pressies? May be a really nice multitool? Doesn't need to have 101 tools just be good, light and cover the basics that you use.

A buff? 101 uses at this time of year.

Pumps - Lezyne is the way to go for sure.
    Yellow is the new Black.
