Sorry, as it's my new toy I showed it some love and gave it a rinse straight after the ride - will try to remember tomorrow :D

Here you go, forgot until we got back to my mate's house:

So the extensive weight reduction programme has just been completed and.....

    2014-03-25223415_zps4eea97ad.jpg

The changes (and weight savings) are:

SLX rear derailleur to XT = 48g
Giant saddle to SDG Ti-fly saddle = 189g
Lizard Skin Peatys to ESI Racers edge Grips = 66g
Answer Protaper bars to Renthal Fatbar Lite Carbon = 162g
Superstar Nanos to Ultra Mag pedals with Ti axles = 178g
Superstar AM-490s to Light Bicycle 33mm AM Wheels = 568g
    Superstar 203mm disc to Formula 203mm disc = 46g
    Superstar 180mm disc to Formula 180mm disc = 42g
Steel rotor bolts to Mt Zoom Ti = 10g
    Effetto Caffe tubeless valves
Superstar 10mm QR to DT Swiss RWS QR = 38g
    Stans 25mm yellow tape
Specialized Storm Control rear tyre = 128g
XT cassette to XTR cassette = 66g
    KMC X10.93 to X10SL = 40g
    Swap to 1x10
    One-Up Components 42T rear cog - nett weight increase = 51g
    34T Thick-thin front chain ring = 48g
Lose front mech, shifter & cable, MRP 2X chain device & granny ring & bolts - saving = 536g

Total weight saving = 4.85lbs, from 32.3lbs to the new weight of 27.45lbs.

The biggest savings are on the wheels, the new wheels (including rotors, cassette, tyres - now set-up tubeless, etc.) weigh a total of 3.912Kgs vs. the old ones at 4.910Kgs - a massive 998 gramme (2.2lbs) saving.

OK, it's cost quite a bit but I'm really looking forward to the first ride tomorrow evening - even though I've had most of the bits for a while, I did the changes all in one go, so I can (hopefully) notice the difference!

The only downside is that I've taken away another excuse for the (predicted) poor finish in my first ever Enduro race this coming weekend at Hamsterley

    Bike pics to follow tomorrow...

Loving the (almost) stealth look and can't wait for this evening's ride :D

Awesome, that front wheel looks huge! "Almost" being the operative word there, not sure if white and bright yellow constitute stealth
