Hi all,
I have a 2007 Specialized FSR XC comp with a x-fusion 02rla rear shock, im looking to upgrade it but need some experet advice, I have read many numerous threads, posts, opinions etc... but none really definitive!
Eye 2 Eye is 177mm and stroke is 38mm, If i were to choose a fox with propedal, rebound etc... would it cause massive issues if it measured 190mm Eye 2 Eye (13mm more) will this raise or lower bb, cause rear wheel to make contact somewhere?
All other opinions relate to one of these but as said not definitive.
Shall i just buy a 2nd hand cheap shock, fit, ride and see how it goes?
All opinions greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

pretty sure mojo or TFtuned can mod a fox shock for the FSR size. if you can fit a 190 i2i you'll adjust the geometry of the bike.
whats wrong with the current shock that's on it?0 -
Hi, there is movement in the lockout, also I can pump it to 175psi but I only have 50mm of travel!!
50mm doesn't seem right, that's what I measured with bike in a clamp so no weight on it!!0 -
Lockout doesn't lock the shock.I don't do smileys.

hi i do believe its a 37mm stroke, is this 37mm of travel then?
also if you turn the red lever all the way " + " the manual states it will lockout, i guess not fully tho!

No the travel is a multiple of the stroke and whatever the linkages give.I don't do smileys.
