Hi all, I currently have a deore 9 speed triple crankset running as a double and bash with 22, 32 rings. I want to chafe the 32 for a 36. I have a Slx triple front mech. Question is, will the mech shift the chain ok between a 22 and 36 or is it too much of a jump?

  • It won't work better, but will be ok. You'll need to adjust the position of the mech and probably lengthen the chain, which is not easy if it is worn.
  • Think it will be worth it then, 32 is a little small but font want to go back to a triple.
