ring size/ derailleur range

Hi all, I currently have a deore 9 speed triple crankset running as a double and bash with 22, 32 rings. I want to chafe the 32 for a 36. I have a Slx triple front mech. Question is, will the mech shift the chain ok between a 22 and 36 or is it too much of a jump?

    It won't work better, but will be ok. You'll need to adjust the position of the mech and probably lengthen the chain, which is not easy if it is worn.

    Think it will be worth it then, 32 is a little small but font want to go back to a triple.

    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
