Hi all, been considering changing my Voodoo Bizango to a 1x9 setup, and need a bit of help on how to get rid of the shifter, dérailleur, getting a chain guide, and also should i make the middle ring bigger/smaller as my thinking is that i could just get rid of the granny for the local xc riding and then throw it back on for trips to Cannock etc.... what are your guys thoughts on this as I'm'm definitely not going to be able to do it without some advice, bear in mind I'm'm still a teenager so many is a bit tight, but i have about £100 to do it with 8) Cheers.

Or just remove the big ring and fit a bash. Bit pointless removing the mech and shifters, adding more stuff, then changing it all back again.I don't do smileys.

I run 1x9 and do Cannock on a 32t front......
You need a 32t single speed ring and chain guides, either upper and lower or inner and outer guide rings, delete left shifter, cables and mech, if you buy carefully you can easily do it for less than £100, in fact it can be done for less than £50.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
