Best Ant+ HRM ?

Mate of mine is getting a flash new turbo for Xmas.
The readoutn on the turbo is ANT+ compatible - so he wants a chest strap to show his details.
If he's getting that then he wants a watch to go with it too so he can get the same details out on the bike too.
Polar would be my choice - but I dont think they're ANT+ compatible ?
Whats the best out there under say £75 - he doesnt want all the bells and whistles - its more for fitness than pro racing.

mine's been going well since 2009, baked, frozen, dunked, sweated on, washed, scrubbed, etc., still fine
unlike G, which seem to fail a lot more
