Modern litre sportsbikes just leave me cold, with their lacklustre styling, overcomplication and plethora of bulls**t electronics - ABS, traction control, ride by wire throttles, selectable power modes, anti wheelie etc etc - all shite. They're utterly useless as road bikes. They're so sanitised that if you ride them at anything like legal-ish speeds you'll be bored s**tless, and if you ride them fast enough to have fun then you're going to end up in a morgue, or a prison cell, neither of which really appeals. A '98 R1 may only make 130bhp at the rear wheel, but it's a far more visceral experience than a current one - a nasty, angry bike (with carbs and no electronic shite) that just wants to hurt you. You know that if you take liberties it's gonna bite you, hard. It's no coincidence that the market for big sportsbikes is dead as a doornail.

Im thinking to make a motorised bicycle out of a 2 stroke engine. I just need to get my hands on an old 2 stroke engine, chainsaw, lawnmower, whatever. I have a junk frame in my garden. Would be as close to a motorbike as id go.0 -

GSXR Eleven motors are like rocking horse s**t these days though, and fetch silly money, but you could get a 600 Bandit engine for peanuts, which would still be pretty damn entertaining, lol.0
