Derek Boocock needs help
I know that quite a few remember Derek from his work organising the White Rose Classic.
After his wife died of cancer, Derek moved to the south coast, but then his cancer returned and rather than get treatment to delay the inevitable, Derek chose to ride off to meet the grim reaper on the road, and embarked on a round-the-world ride.
Unfortunately Derek met a 4x4 head-on in Tajikistan and had to spend several days in hospital. He’s recuperating but his bike and luggage is a write-off. Derek sold everything he had in the UK to fund this trip and without help he won’t get any further. I’d be really grateful if you could check out the links below and consider clicking on the ‘donate’ button on the second link.

Derek is a true adventure biker and if you are able to spread the word it would be great.
And if you have several hours to spare, Derek's blog makes fascinating reading with some brilliant photographs. Makes me want to go through the 'stans' —but on a motorbike!

(Apologies for my first post on here being a 'begging letter' but I thought those who remember Derek would want to know)

Tim,
Get this on the other sub-forums - Commuting Chat, Cake Stop etc. I don't think anyone would accuse you of 'spamming'.
Best of luck!Ben
