Installed a new GXP BB a few months ago and recently I started to hear a funny crunch when the non-drive pedal got to about 6'oclock. I assumed in might be the bearings so pulled the BB off and had a look inside. Looked fairly clean IMHO but the grease seemed to have kinda hardened a little with gaps between the grease and the balls. So I swirted in some extra grease and fitted to back together but doesn't seem to have made any real improvement. Should I have hoked the old grease out the totally replaced everything?
There's no lateral movement in the BB, only the noise which I'm pretty sure is from the BB.....
sorry if this a basic Q!!!
oh and one other question when I am at it.... when I spin my wheels, I get a little bit of contact with the disc. Now, I have tried to align the calipers countless times but this is the best I can get it. how much rub is too much?????
