New drive train

Hi all

Just after a bit of advice really re potential new drive train.

I'm looking at 1 x 10 Shimano Zee and just wondering about the compatibility of cranks and chainrings. I'm thinking that the maximum I dare go for is a 32t due to fitness/climbing ability so was wondering if anyone could confirm whether the below would be ok please?

That's xc, Zee is not.

It will be compatible but I am not convinced its the best choice? Will you be running a chain device?

I'd buy a Deore (or SLX, or XT depending on budget), flog the chainrings and fit a Race Face Narrow/Wide.
