Got everything 22 speed Force except a chainset for my new build and I'm looking to save a few quid so wondered if a 10 speed chainset, maybe Force 10spd or a cheap FSA one until funds allow a Rotor or Force 22 chainset upgrade, would work ok with the 22 speed ?
From what I've been told the space between the chain links side to hasn't changed just the thickness of the metal so should be ok.

Any advice appreciated.

  • Will work fine :)
  • first check the pin widths in the technical documentation b/c a wider chain might ride on top of the cogs or pick up a neighbouring cog

or you could just go for it, if it doesn't work your teeth or your nuts will tell you :)
