22 Speed Sram but with 10spd chainset

Got everything 22 speed Force except a chainset for my new build and I'm looking to save a few quid so wondered if a 10 speed chainset, maybe Force 10spd or a cheap FSA one until funds allow a Rotor or Force 22 chainset upgrade, would work ok with the 22 speed ?
From what I've been told the space between the chain links side to hasn't changed just the thickness of the metal so should be ok.

Any advice appreciated.

    first check the pin widths in the technical documentation b/c a wider chain might ride on top of the cogs or pick up a neighbouring cog

    or you could just go for it, if it doesn't work your teeth or your nuts will tell you :)
