So the hoy's forks are being replaced and I am getting a voucher in recompense... What to spend it on!

I don't need softshell (relatively new gore)
Shorts/bibs maybe
Jerseys maybe
Arm warmers sorted already
Leg warmers maybe
Full legs sorted already
Gilet for warmth and windproof already sorted
Helmet sorted
Winter gloves maybe
Shoes sorted
Lights sorted
Glasses sorted
Computer sorted
GPS maybe...

Anything else? Don't need a 3rd bike yet as the cannon will come back out so apologies if horrendous scalping occurs... ;)

  • Shame Evans are so crappy in terms of stock. Had a £100 voucher here since mid April and would've spent it several times over had it been for Wiggle, Chain Reaction, Sigma etc...

Clothing is always worth having new versions of, like a decent Gore top or another pair of shorts. Can never have too many shorts, esp bibs. Or a good pair of overshoes - worth their weight in synthetic rubber & cotton.
  • yeah stock wise they are flakely to the extreme but online is a bit better... New gore waterproof though - nice reminder CiB as my 2002? one is finally not beading at all and while still "clinically" waterproof it won't evaporate out. Winter gloves too could be a winner.

  • Just to be clear here, we are talking about Evans Cycles, not the outsize women's clothing chain?

If you can sell them, that might be a better option than spending on something you don't want or could get cheaper elsewhere.

I've ordered a bike from Evans and if I take it I'd be happy to buy vouchers off you at face value. Otherwise, you could offload them on ebay, gumtree etc.
  • Oh so many things, groupset stuff, saddles, bottle cages, computers, the list is endless.

    GPS maybe?
    So a Garmin 810. Sorted
    Rose Xeon CW Disc
    CAAD12 Disc
    Condor Tempo

So bike is new with 105 so new groupset not needed
saddle is a £120 carbon rail spez bg so no need
Two lightweight bottle cages already so no need
Comp is a heartrate jobbie that already has two sensors and talks to my watch too so no need

If you did want to swap the vouchers for real cash that would be rather kind of you and opens more possibilities...

Whatever it is, get it pricematched.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?
  • Utterly boring answer of stocking up on tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, cassettes and similar consumables. Not exciting, but saves you making lots of little purchases for a year or so.

True, shed load of energy gels? Not on sale at the moment but you could use it to enter RideIt! Sportive events?
  • Were it me, I'd look on it as a free opportunity to get a truing stand, a couple of hubs and rims. Try and learn a new skill.
