Winter attire for the larger gentleman?

Any places around Oxfordshire that sell winter gear for bigger guys? I've got a fairly long in seam and a generous waist line ... be nice to find somewhere that I can try on stuff that actually fits...

Base layers, some better shorts too as currently using surf shorts, appropriate jacket for cycling, something to keep my ears warm too ... they get cold easy and then I get a nasty headache.0

I'm not tall but I am wide and train powerlifting so have big thighs. Humvees are ok on the waist xxl is easy over 40". I wear them with the liners or over Decathlon bib tights if it's cold. Altura attack shorts are good for rain. Top half I wear a combo of on one merino base layer, Helly Hansen Lifa base layer, fox jersey and Altura Mayhem jacket. All fit this larger gentleman fine.0

Can't speak for every brand out there, but I would recommend Altura kit.
Endura will be a little on the tight side, even in XXL. Altura sizing tends to be more generous.
I think that DHB stuff (from Wiggle), is supposed to be ok on size too - reasonably priced too.
As for the ears - I use a buff, pulled up so only my eyes are showing. Relatively cheap way of keeping warm under my helmet.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

I am shaped like a 6 foot tall badly shaven Gorilla. Try these fellas there XL is a proper British MTBer XL not an anorexic roadie XL. Cheap and sturdy gear.

just looking at this jacket: http://www.cycle-clothing.co.uk/Products/255/speg-avert-mk4-wind-and-water-resistant-soft-shell-cycling-jacket.aspx ... I'm coming up as a 3XL, I guess I'd want to add a size to that to account for any layers underneath? Man, 4XL jacket and 3XL in everything else sounds way out... 36 inside leg - 41 waist & 46 chest.0 -

Order both sizes and send back the one that doesnt suit. I did that with a pair of shorts and a top they go back via parcel direct didnt cost me anything, as long as you open the packaging carefully and dont pull the tags off.
Also look at Madison stuff I bought a pair of Madison padded undershorts off ebay got my usual size and they were huge I could have dont the Highland fling inside them and not touched the sides.
Also look out for TENN outdoor stuff they do big sizes.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -
