campag cassette compatibility

Hi all,
Im just putting the finishing touches on my planet x build and I got a set of campag g3 wheels but I have shimano 105 groupset my question is would the wheels work with a campag cassette and freehub? if not whats the best thing to do? sell the wheels on and buy shimano ones? or swap the freehub and cassette?

Any help would be really appreciated

Swap the freehub rather than mess around trying to index a campag cassette with a shimano setup - it will save you so much hastle in the long run.

So the wheels I have just need the freehub changing? what about the cassette?

If you change the freehub over (not particularly cheap) then your new 105 cassette will slide straight on. No doubt some would suggest bodging it and running a campag cassette but you'll never get as good shifting (without a Jtek Shiftmate). A Jtek Shiftmate is about £38 new anyway so may as well fit the right freehub (and you could sell on the Campag version)

If you can at the same sort of price then yes you can do that. The other option is pay the £50 ish for a Shimano version freehub and then get as much back as you can for your Campag version on ebay or here.
