Best way to gently clean a Fizik Arione saddle

Morning all,

I bagged one of these off ebay last week:

And whilst it is clearly new, we all know it is from about 3 or 4 years ago, so has been sat around in some bikeshop somewhere I guess.

It's unused but is a bit grubby, what do people suggest I clean it with, just warm water and a microfibre cloth first, and then perhaps a little bit of car shampoo if that does not do the trick?

Should work with water and a bit of washing up liquid on a microfibre. If you want to be super careful then try using some leather upholstery cleaner.

I find a tiny spritz of GT85 is good for shifting oily marks on saddles. Lovely smell too!

Swarfega would probably also work, I've used it on bar tape.

    Baby wipes
  • A bit of Cif on a wet cloth. The covering is Microtex, so it's safe to use.

    How rude!

It's a limited edition I'll have yee know

And anyway I love yellow :D

A microfibre cloth and some warm water seems to have gotten rid of most if not all of the grub, bizarre it's been sat around somewhere for so long - I remember looking these up a few years ago, but they were out of production and couldn't find one anywhere.

Just leg pulling! Glad you got it clean. I have a white one with black stripe and the white is a pain to clean - the dirt gets ingrained in the texture. For my Look, I now have a black with white stripe carbon railed jobby and I'm hoping that way round it is less like hard work!
