New rims
I have a set of excellight rims that are wearing out so wondering what best to replace them. They have been built with Sapim x-ray so I would prefer to keep the same erd rim as will be expensive to replace all those spokes.
Anyway what would you recommend?

In the Ambrosio range you can use: Excellight, Excellence, Evolution, the latter two only in 32-36 holes
You can also use Mavic Open PRO and you can use Velocity A 23 or Velocity Aerohead too they all have an ERD between 600-602left the forum March 20230 -
How would you rate excellight against velocity rims? The excellight seem to have a decent stiffness for their low weight.0

Excellight are about 450 grams, same as the A 23.... which is however much stiffer. problem is the new A 23 have a tubeless ready internal profile, which make them a pain to use with tubes... meaning there isn't a rim tape that fits them nicely and the Velo-plugs don't really work on the A 23. The Aerohead is much better in that respect, but it is less stiff, although on pair with Excellight and lighter, about 415 grams. Nice rim, one to tryleft the forum March 20230 -

Thanks for the advice Ugo, I'll have a look at the Aeroheads.0 -
I have some nice handbuilts, some with Excellights and some with Open Pro. Not much to tell between them as both are very good all rounders.0
