is the carbon colnago clx3 2014 frame much better then trek

im thinking of buying a colnago clx3 carbon frame for £1700 and building it to my spec, but not sure if im better just upgrading my trek 1.5 . as both the bikes are red and white, just the trek is aluminium, the trek weighs about 10kg and the colnago about 8kg

There are plenty of other options out there, but if you are trying to decide between Trek and Colnago, I would personally go for the Colnago. Is it going to be leaps ahead? That will depend not only on weight, but also on geometry and componentry.
