Giant connect vs contact

I can get an OD2 giant connect stem for £22 but the contact stem is £50 more.

Any reason why I shouldn't get the cheaper version?

Depends how important a bit of weight is to you.
The main weight loss from the more expensive one will be due to your significantly lighter wallet.

Indeed, not worried about the weight, was more worried that it was a road stem put in the wrong category by tredz!

Is it right that you need a giant specific stem because they are a weird size compared to average stems??

What size stem stem are you after? can't remember what size it is but I know I do have a connect stem here I can check if your interested.
