Morning

One of my presents yesterday was a bottle of black sambuca - it was finished before the cheese and biscuits last night :)

Today is tackle the mess in the kitchen, then some family time and then over to iron bridge for a champagne afternoon tea - to ensure the maximum number of drunks I've offered to cycle there. :)

    Quiet weekend then Matthew!

Been watching a lot of the remembrance day stuff over the weekend, all very emotional stuff! Feel proud to be serving and see the support from all corners of the country for those that have and those that are prepared to give their lives for their country.

Brother in law and family round today, food to cook, minor diy to address and possible boozing!

Quite busy so must dash, toodles!

    Good Afternoon Freaks! 8)

Well, after yesterday's discovery that the C2 needs a bit more work to the engine than I'm capable of, I decided to console myself with a bit of a fettling session this morning. Commuter bike's brakes stripped down and cleaned (including the braking area of the rims) after a couple of "Oh F**k!" moments this week. Then I set about rebuilding the Coiler - new brakes, rear shock and seatpost shim and reshod the rims with some Panracer tyres.

Looking good now and a few lbs lighter thanks to the air shock:

Will hopefully get time to take it for a spin later.

And, a suggestion/some advice to all of the CC2CC riders - if you haven't done so already, remove your tyres from your wheels and let all the water drain out. You'd be surprised how much water came out of mine!

Foot went in bike shoes nicely enough, wouldn't tighten down as much as normal but still, it could have been worse. Went for a nice 50 mile loop as a break from the revision, wasn't too painful, hurt on the upstroke a bit when really caning it but other than that it was fine. Winner. Now more revision. Arse.
  • Afternoon Losers!

Did my bit for the Remembrance day festivities. Surprising how many put something deep and meaningful on facebook, and probably don't think about it for the rest of the day.
Had some dinner with my friends which was nice. Now I'm home for a brief while and about to head out for my last bit of work of the day.
Meant to be going to watch Gravity tonight, but not sure I'll be up for it really.

    Laters!

All is well, nothing to report (other than that a visit to Tiffany's is an exciting way to spend time on a saturday)

    You're probably right

    Evening 'Tards,

Was woken up early by the effects of last nights curry and beer :) Done naff all today and am just about to round it off with some grog and watching MOTD. Pedalling tomorrow despite the pants forecast, I seem to have found a bit of MTFU from somewhere...
