]Hi
I'm having issues changing a gear cable on my shifters, i took the shifter apart to remove the old cable and then one thing after the next and the whole shifter is in bits.
Now i know where all the metal prongs go apart from one which i have took a picture of hoping someone may be able to point it out.
Thanks in advance

fiddly as f***, but then i am heavy handed so that puts me at a distinct disadvantage with fidly things!
I spent hours getting mine sorted after they packed up.
if i remember correctly the end of the spring has a 90 degree bend on it? i'm almost sure it fits into a moulded hole on the plastic casing. looking at the pic you posted i think it is the hole in the top right part of the case. It was some time ago that i did mine and it was a process of trial and error. sorry if it's a bit vague and uncertain.I don't know enough to make smart r's remarks about peoples choice of parts 'n' things, yet!0 -
Bit of a coincidence. I happened to have disassembled and re-assembled an X4 shifter today in work. Here's my pic that I took before messing around with it so i knew where everything went (one of the springs isn't in the correct place on the picture):
And here's your pic with the correct position for that spring arm circled:
Hope that helps!0
