Water ingress compromising fork safety?

Just got a metal insert glued into my Cervelo steerer tube by my LBS. Went out for a ride afterwards, it rained a lot and I gently hosed down the bike afterwards. Is there any chance of water getting into the steerer tube and ruining the bonding of the insert, or am I being overcautious?

    Unless you're running carbon in which case the rain may make the carbon weft and then you've got issues, but I suspect that you researched this before buying a carbon bike so you'll be cool with the prep that you need to do before and after each ride.
