Fork upgrade for Piglet

Might be in a position to spend a little on the piglet soon so I'm thinking about a fork upgrade.
Current fork is 120mm Recon silver solo air, QR, no lockout.
I've just seen some used 130mm rev's for £200, this sounds fairly decent to me, but I've got some questions!
Is a fork upgrade really worth it? The benefits I can see are I have hope pro 2's so I'm thinking I can convert to a thru axle, there's bound to be a weight difference and my current fork is too narrow for my tubeless Hans dampf! Other than that though, will i really notice a difference?
What's the recommended next step fork without spending a shed load? Reba/rev's?
Can the Piglet take 130mm? I seem to remember seeing a magazine review where the bike had a 130mm sektor but I thought the frame was based around 120mm.

The Revs internals are better ie the Motion Control damper - this adds fine control to the performance. The fork is also lighter and, in dual air flavour, more adjustable.
The Recon Silver is a good fork mind, very smooth, if not quite as light or well controlled over repeated hits.0 -
also consider the Manitou range of forks - the TPC and absolute+ dampers are pretty dam good and the compression damper can be infinitly adjusted to your style0
