Sram S7 Clickbox refit help

Could somebody please give me detailed instructions on how to refit the Clickbox onto an Sram S7 hub. It just refuses to go back in with the little red plastic thingy in place. Yes, I have the shifter in first gear. Having a debilitating bout of manflu doesn't help. Thanks in advance.

    As this thread came up as number 2 on a Google search for "Sram S7 workshop", i feel it is justified to post a reply for the common good of the internet.

    The trick to getting the clickbox attached is to squeeze the red plastic guide, thereby permanently deforming and compressing it slightly. The plastic guide should fit snugly around the axle. Be cautious thou, it might break.

    My daily work is maintenance of your run-of-the-mill boring citybikes, and this always does the trick,along with cycling the gears manually a couple of times by pressing the shiftrod and shifttube before installing the box, and of course shifting the twistgrip into 1st.
