Hi guys, I bought a new full suss frame a bit back and am steadily building it up and need help, Im wanting to buy a fork and this particular one

I have a Ghost frame this one:

and I was wondering if they will fit, steerer wise I can't seem to find the spec for it, any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Fork appears to be (not stated as) a straight steerer, the Ghost uses tapered, so the fork will fit with a lower adaptor (off ebay, made by hope are common) that slots on the plain steerer to make a 1.5" seat for the larger lower headset craown race.

Not the most obvious choice of fork for that frame, bit big and clunky, also you'll have to get a 20mm wheelset rather than 15mm/QR.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • thanks, and hmmm yes it is rather heavy but I thought I'd substitute by buying lighter wheels.
Would you recommend anything around the £300 mark thats better?

Much lighter, travel can be adjusted internally and much better than the basic damper in the 55's, which have a tendency to go wrong too. The sektor is a much better fork and better suited to your frame.

The fox you linked won't fit in your frame as they have a straight 1.5" steerer tube. Your frame will take either a tapered 1,1/8th to 1.5" fork or a straight 1,1/8th" steerer.
  • Okay thanks man :) they seem a bargain, think im going to buy em!
  • Way too much travel for that frame, it will invalidate your warranty as well. Have a look at on ones website they have sektors and revs which are better suited.

On-One have the RS Sektors for £270, I think they're the same spec.
    http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FORSSEKRL15/rockshox_sektor_rl_150mm_solo_air
They have a selection of 140 or 150 travel Sektors & Revelations at good prices that may be suitable. Just check the spec carefully.
  • fork is only 10mm more travel than the frame, with the front end being 140mm, and the sektor's on on one's site are out of stock, already bought my rockshox and looking awesome!! :D

I've seen the ASX plus advertised with either a 140mm talas or a 150 talas. the ghost catalogue has it with a 150. however the 32 talas isn't particularly long in the A2C length so even though a 160 for is only 10mm longer in travel
it is most likely going to be much longer A2C.
