Clicking from Stem

Hi,

I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that's when I come out of the saddle on a hill climb that there is a quite loud clicking coming from the front end of the bike. It seems to be coming from the stem but i'm not 100% sure to be honest. It will only ever do it when the force is transferred to either side of the bike from pedalling and is 1 click at a time. Not continual clicking.

I've checked that all components are torqued to the correct settings and everything seems how it should be.

The bike in question is a Merida Race Lite 900 with just shy of 2000 miles.

Any help appreciated as it is really starting to annoy me

Thanks for your time

  • Check your qr skewers are tight with a light layer of grease. Took me ages to work out my front end click!
