Hi,

Here's my nearly 3 month old Colnago CLX.
Bought in a sale with an unexpected PPI pay out :D

I couldn't be happier with it, comfortable and quick in comparison to my old bike.
Already had the wheels, bars and stem and preferred them to the kit that came on the bike, so switched them over.

Think I saw that bike on sale at Wiggle but don't think their offer had such a fine wheelset or Ultegra calipers.

It is truly lovely and one of the few that I even consider swapping my precious for (Focus Di2).

Yes, it was from Wiggle. I already had the wheels so put them on, and keeping the supplied RS30's for winter.

I was actually all set to buy a Focus Cayo Evo 3 (or possibly 2), had a bike fit etc, but after I had dithered around for so long I couldn't get one in my size!

Looks great, fancy one myself. Are all the cables internal?
    Thanks
  • Yes internal. It arrived with cable guides for a mechanical group on the down tube and chain stay.
As I don't need them and they were removable I took them off.

Thanks, a very good point! Had forgotten all about that.
  • 8kg seriously? That's quite high zoot kit you have. Love the slammage, cut the steerer and see what that yields you...

Colour-wise the b-o-w looks really well done, even the pedals compliment perfectly. Bravo. Sadly there was a poor guy couple months back with a steel Condor who wasn't so successful at black on white execution.

  • loving that frameset big time.

Yes it's about 8Kg, but that's a bit of a finger in the air figure. Not weighed it accurately, it's not a real featherweight and the DI2 adds a bit.
I have to admit it's been more luck than judgement on the colour scheme. Pedals from my old white bike, and luckily they match. The 3T stuff matches nicely IMO.
