removing rockshox monarch 4.2 air cylinder

So as above removing rockshox monarch 4.2 air cylinder, it is pretty stuck on and tips on removing it?

I have tries one of these and it just slips round the cylinder, i ahve also tried pipe grips using foam but that does not work either?
Cant think of any other way

Not if you're using it right. It tightens as you turn it.
