bottom bracket

Hi
I replaced my bottom bracket at the weekend at a local "fix your own" workshop, so with a little guidance I was able to replace my worn bottom bracket and ride home and myself and the bike mechanic checked over my work.
When I pedal I can feel some sort of rubbing, I could describe it like a rachet feeling rubbing up through the pedals its quite faint but enough to feel it through my shoes. I've checked the pedals are secure, nothing wobbles etc.
Anything I can check?

chain rubbing on the mech?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Push the chain all the way towards the seat post so the chain isn't on a ring and doesn't rub.
Then spin the cranks - if the crank binds or doesn't spin easily then there is something wrong with the bearings.
