MTB build spec advice

Just bought a Charge Duster frame to build up over the next month or two. So far I've only bought the forks and headset (Rock Shox Recon SL). I want to go for 2x10 gearing, the Deore groupsets look well priced but is there an alternative Sram groupset at a similar price??
I'm also after a wheelset for no more than £150 new or second hand that will take the 10 speed cassette and the option to go tubeless would be good if anyone can offer advice on that?

whats the budget for groupset?
And what axle types for wheels?
Merlin have some bargains.

Around £300 for the groupset. Not really sure about axle types for wheels, last time i had a MTB everything was the same QR! I presume the second hand Recon forks will take just a normal QR?
Merlin is the website i've been looking at the most0 -
Merlin have sram x9 2x10 crankset at £ 79.00 a damned good price . I am running x9 group and very hapy . From what I read you do compromise going lower in Sram though new 4 pot x7 brakes get good reviews.0

Recon forks can be 15mm or QR, have a look at a picture and it's obvious which it is as 15mm looks totally different to QR.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

thanks for the replies all. I like the look of the Mavic crossone's that Merlin have advertised at the moment. Will have a look at the Sram groupsets also0

If you are thinking about using SRAM componentry i'd suggest you stick to X7 or higher and i'd forget about their cassettes and use a shimano one instead.
Have a look at planet-x-bikes.co.uk, buybikebits.co.uk and rczbikeshop.com... Planet X have some quite nice stuff going for cheap in their sale at the moment, buybikebits have a limited range but prices are good and every now and then interesting things go up for sale, rczbikeshop has quite a good range and some very good prices, they are based in Luxembourg but have bought from them before with no issue and they do get good reviews.0 -

Those superstars wheels look good. I was looking at the deore groupset on Merlin but for £350 they have the full slx groupset including brakes. Is it worth the extra £75 over deore?0

I would go for the slx then, the brakes have better stopping power then deore. slx is known for its durability in the winter months as well.0
