Helicopter tape - seriously, google it.
    Yellow is the new Black.
  • I put some of this on last week. Went on no problem and is pretty discrete on a matte frame:

If you don't fancy that, your alternative is this sort of thing:

  • I use Jagwire Tube Tops, a couple of quid on eBay or elsewhere. Job done.

I use some rubber gromit type things I got from Decathlon. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/frame-and-hose-protections-id_8043647.html Work a treat, the stick on protectors or bits of tape don't look right on a titanium frame.

Cross your gear cables under the downtube and the outers won't rub against the headtube. If you go continental on the brakes (front on left) then the rear brake outer won't rub either. That just leaves the rear derailleur loop at the seat stay and rear brake outer at the top tube potentially needing some protection where a little patch of helicopter tape will be unobtrusive.

I've gone for crossed gear cables, but continental style brakes is a step too far for me so I use a Jagwire tube top on the rear brake. The Decathlon ones are good too, but you need to thread them through the cable whereas the Jagwire ones are split and just push on.
  • I used Copter Tape from Just Riding Along.....

You get lots of it for the price and its damn good stuff. Granted you have to cut it yourself but that means you can cut it to your own requirements. I have done my whole bike where the cables come into contact with the frame to make sure there is no rubbage whatsoever. It sticks like sh1t to a blanket though, so make sure you get it in the right position first else it when you reposition it, you risk taking the top coat off your frame.
