A couple of photo's of my new Look 675. I have better quality images to post when I
work out how to do it....

I will be changing the Ultegra chainset when I find something I like.

Why would you change the Ultegra chainset? They're great!

    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

    What he said.

  • Holy Sh1t! that looks like it is going full gas even though it is standing still. Outrageously brilliant.

No they are not - stop deluding yourself. They are very average and on a bike that cool why have average?

And change the saddle as well. Apart from those two points that freakin' lovely.

More piccies and some deep rim wheels pronto please Cardinal Richelieu.

    Why no photo ?????

I'm not too keen on the look of the Ultegra chainset, I think it's quite ugly.
The saddle is a new addition, it's a fizik Arione and fit my bum like a glove....
and no deep rim wheels, it's very windy up here in Yorkshire.

I hope you are better at riding than taking photos
    Love these bikes.
Be interested to see what chainset you end up going for.

Almost correct there, it is in fact technically what is called 'gopping'. Functionally it works of course but yeah, on aesthetics alone it's worth ditching.

Where as the steerer tube/top tube/stem on the look is a thing of beauty   :?

Yes, average. As in middle of the road, nothing great, does the job but I wouldn't kick TDN out of bed to get to one, many other alternatives available for the same/lower price that perform better/look nicer/are lighter etc.

They do a job - I'd have one on the commuter/trainer bike but not on the good bike.

However, if you are happy to stick with mediocrity, then hey, its your bike/money.

Personally I'd get a load of Red 10 speed in the sales in 6 months time when they are giving it away and whack it on there. But that's just me.
  • I'm also presuming that the saddle is level its just the frame angle making it look a tad nose high?

    Thanks for all the comments....

The photo's were taken with my phone as the wife is at Disneyland Paris with
the kids and has taken the camera.

I love the A-Stem on the Look, I think it makes the bike.

The saddle is level, it must be the photo.

Now for the chainset....it's O.K. don't get me wrong, it's just ugly
on such a beautiful bike :D. As for what to replace it with :?:

I'm a Shimano man but that Ultegra chainset is probably the ugliest thing they've produced, when I got Ultegra I bought a Sram red/black chainset instead which looks good with the charcoal groupset.

    That's nice, very nice :D:D

Have a look at Planet X, they have a carbon FSA K-Force Light chain set
on offer for £250, I think that will fit ???

If not, I'm sure someone will say !!!
  • I hate you, I so want one of these.

    Thanks for the tip...

I've had a word with a very nice young lady a Planet-X and she tells me it will fit,
but I'm not that sure. I assume someone on here will put me right.

Sram Red exogram is £249 at Merlin Cycles
  • Tune-Blackfoot-carbon-fiber-crankset02-600x450.jpg

    Without the purple spider???
  • Anything apart from that awful Ultegra. I have Red and FSA and can't fault both. Red is industrially cool, FSA is Italian design cool.

I'm not going to bother changing the Ultegra chainset, I can not find any thing that I like and let's be
honest at £3-400 is it worth making a change, I can not see the chainset while I'm riding the bike anyway.

With the money saved I'm going to treat myself (again) to some new cycling shoe's and a new jacket :D
  • I would swap my soul with Beelzebub for a bike with that stem set up.

It is so original and looks stunning, better than anything I've seen.

Not sure of price, but I've seen some lovely Look chainsets, like the ZED-2?

I think the rest of the bike far outways anything bad in that area, I'm still with 105's so I won't be picking the peanuts out of poo here!
