Whyte 401, 26ER Childrens Mountain Bike

Hi,

I am looking to buy my son a good mountain bike and he has just turned 8 but is tall and can fit a small framed (13") 26" wheel childrens bike.

He is wanting to do some childrens MTB competitions and we also have a very good single track course near us, it has both red and black runs.

Can anyone tell me what they think of the Whyte 401 26ER please ? (link below).

It looks a good bike but I am no expert.

Also, is there anyone out there who's child has one of these, can you let me know what you think.

I have looked at that bike but I am not sure on the colour, hense looking at the Whyte 401.
