Took my Recons apart to increase the travel earlier today
They were 100mm and I wanted to take them to 120mm
Unfortunately only one spacer (30mm) so they are now 130mm travel
Can I get a 10mm spacer easily and if so from where?
Can I cut the 30mm spacer down? I assume not as I can't get a properly square cut?
Anyone got a 'spare' 10mm spacer?
I've temporarily re-assembled them (so I don't lose or damage anything). There's 140mm of stantion now visible - I assume this is just 10mm of unavailable travel - or have I re-assembled them incorrectly
Now I just need to get some oil, oh and a new frame to take them!

I have spare sid spacers that came with a service kit . I will check on Sram site to see if compatible ( if so you are welcome to them ) edit doesn't look look like it
See http://www.sram.com/service/rockshox/104 all travel spacer kits are a rockshox part . I got parts from Petra cycles Oxshot Surrey . Swift service and they can get virtually anything.just make sure you identify correct year and fork model then make note of part no from the relevant pdf and enter it on petra website. http://www.petracycles.co.uk/rockshox-a ... 9493.html/ check this to be sure
Fork available travel wouldn't really show until fully rebuilt and sag and pressure set. If in any doubt the highlighted link gives full details of strip rebuild and oil volumes . Must say it's the only resource I used rebuilding a Sid as if not very careful you could easily put things on in wrong order especially on the air spring. Worth getting some suspension specific grease ( judy butter or equivalent that won't damage seals and o rings.) I found suspension fork oil much cheaper at a motorcycle dealership. Grabbing a 20ml syringe for about 50 pence from any chemist helps you get correct amount of oil in fork .0
