That's what I thought. The Reynolds wheels draw your eyes towards the frame, which I guess is what you should be looking at.argon 18 e116 2013 Vision Metron 80

Better, although not wild about the wavy tubes. And I'd have had black pedals
went to the LBS near where I work, and they had a current model Infinito CV Athena in, utterly joyous to look at. But £3.5k?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That's a bit strong
Agree re pedals - also needs black saddle and bar tape to make it super sweeeet.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

PLuKE wrote:Did you get new stickers made up for the Bullets?
No, I got them from Merlin Cycles, not really sure what the deal is with them. As sad as it sounds it was a big factor in getting them as I don't like the normal graphics at all (also wanted my old carbon wheels for a TT bike).
I've only ever seen those graphics on a Ridley in a brouchure and I think someone mentioned they were a limited run to make a team replica more like the Boras.0 -
Can you de-sticker the red bullet wording and get them redone in celesta? May look incredibly smart.
Then again may not - photoshop job?Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

I have seen few pictures of that logo. Looks nice, I have the Bullet 80s too, in the normal dark Font.
Looks good!

My Bianchi Impulso. I've already posted elsewhere on this forum. It is a bike that was purchased to satisfy a boyhood dream of owning a celeste coloured Bianchi. Used only in fine weather and for pure cycling enjoyment - no racing, no sportives, no computer - simply for the joy of riding what, in my humble opinion, is a beautiful bike.

I disagree. Bianchis should a) have some Celeste on them and b) have Campag.
I disagree I think that the above bike is better than the celeste or black version.
Just can't find a shop that sells other colours other than celeste and black0 -

Here is my impulso, my first road bike and I love it!
It is equipped with the Shimano 105 gears. I have just replaced wheels with Shimano WH-RS81 C24 rims and Vittoria Corsa SL tires, made a huge difference in maintaining higher speed, accelerate, climbing and also better comfort and over all handling.
Cheers,

Well this happens when you mix too much drink and internet surfing with a credit card in your hand. Last Monday I was a bit p!ssed and came across this Bianchi Intenso with Veloce 10 speed groupset on Wiggle.
The price was £1500 and I know as an owner of two Canyons you can get a lot of spec for that kind of money but I was utterly seduced by the celeste finish and a lifetime of yearning and some recklessness took over.
It arrived today and with it a couple of firsts. One was my first (ful) carbon frame and the second was my first Campag groupset, in 20 years of adult riding I've never so much as stood astride a Campag bike. A steep learning curve awaits me.
My first impression was one of sheer delight at the celeste finished frame. All my bikes are big 60 something frames and to be honest a bit fugly. this is a 63cm and is a work of art, by far the best looking bike I've ever owned. I'd read a fair amount about the reparto course finishing kit and had resigned myself to an upgrade. However, I was delighted to see the celeste and white accents on the stem seat post and bars which really compliment the frame. I'm determined to keep them as I think aftermarket parts might not look as good. Even the San Marco saddle has celeste accents which you have to admire from a selling perspective
The brakes are also FSA badged reparto course. the jury is out on those at the moment as they are white and I'm undecided as to whether they should stay. If performance is mediocre then their days are numbered and they'll be traded in.
The wheels are Fulcrum which I believe are supposed to fall somewhere between the 7's and 5's. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were shod with Vittoria Zaffiros as opposed to Hutchinson Equinox's. I'd read the Hutchinsons weren't so hot and had decided to upgrade to Open Corsa's hopefully the Zaffiros will perform reasonably and I can delay that.
Finally it has an FSA crankset. I guess this is where the saving is made (along with the brakes) over a full campag groupset. I'll see how we get on with that but I'm sure it will be fine.
I have to say I was quite impressed with the box of goodies that came in the box from Wiggle. it included a very nicely finished multi -tool, a pedal spanner, normal pedals, elite bottle cage with bianchi bottle and of course the haribos. The multi tool and pedal spanner were unexpected, how often do you buy a bike and get all the tools?
So there we have it a dream bike for me and a step into the dark with carbon and campag. Any advice or tips welcome.

The only advice I will give is just smile as you enjoy the ride. Bianchi's are more expensive than the average ride but there is something slightly unexplainable that you just can't quantify. It's a bit like the inability of windoze users to comprehend why someone would spend the extra and buy Apple.

welcome to the wonderful world of bianchi, and campag.
the first thing i done on mine was change the saddle, it just didnt agree with me.
secondly, after repeadly breaking spokes, i changed the wheels.
also upgraded calipers and chainset to campag veloce.
best of luck with any upgrades you decide to make.My Trek 1.5 viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=129632840 -

Thanks Lizzy Lad. On the question of upgrades, how interchangeable is Campag? Can you use any of the range and ultra torque? It all looks a bit more complicated than Shimano0 -
You can mix and match Campag. But for 11 speed they don't do cassettes below Chorus level. Which is where it gets expensive.Bianchi Infinito CV

Thanks for that0 -
First ride yesterday.
First impressions were how smooth the ride was, having ridden only aluminium in the last 10 years and steel before that it was an armchair ride. I thought at first it was the vittorias which although only 25mm looked huge but I doubt they could make such a difference. the frame is a quality item.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Fulcrums which felt heavy and seemed to require an effort to roll and were sluggish whilst climbing. When I returned I poped the front one on some scales and it was 30% heavier than an Mavic elite. I'll look to be upgrading at some point and thought Campag Eurus might make a good wheelset, any views on those?
One thing I have already pushed the button on is a Record Ultra Torque 10spd Chainset. Merlin are selling them for £99 which seems ridiculously cheap. They also have 180mm (I'm 6'5") which have always been beyond my budget in Shimano (Dura Ace only) so I took the plunge. It hasn't arrived yet and is on a 30 day return, have I made a bad choice?
I wasn't overly impressed with the shifting and I don't think that Veloce is a match for 105. The shifters seem cheap and plasticky in action which is a bit of a shame.
So like most things Italian and wheeled it will be a labour of love to perfect. All advice welcome.0 -
