Dura Ace 9000 Mech cables--worth it if you have 7900?

Having read reviews that suggested that much of the superior shifting performance of DA9000 over 7900 is down to the cables I was wondering whether anyone has upgraded their cables only & noticed this claimed benefit? My 7900 cables are less than 12 months old so not due to be replaced due to wear & tear just yet.

Not sure what you think you're going to gain. While most things do slowly get better over the years, I wish I had a dollar for every "NEW AND IMPROVED" cable set that has come on the market. I look on most of these claims as at least 90% hype.0
