New Tyre For The Rigid

Looking to replace the heavy 2.4 steel bead Ardent on the front of the Kinesis with something a little lighter and faster. Thinking maybe a Mountain King II Protection. Anyone compared the two? Was even considering an X-King but don't think that will have quite the bite I'm looking for.

I honestly don't really need all the grip the Ardent offers but I still want reasonable all round grip. Needs to still be a big tyre so no less than a proper 2.3 (Specialized Butcher), ideally a 2.4 like the Ardent. More worried about the volume than the width though.
