Ice tech is pointless. Even on four minute dh runs it does nothing.
Im liking Nukeproof pads at the moment. More bite and cheaper than Shimano. Brake Authority pads are equally good but not quite as cheap.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Ok, sounds good, where can I get suitable nukeproofs for deore m615?
Yeah unless you live in the alps I doubt ice tech is anything more than a gimmick0 -

M615's now use the same pads as the new SLX/XT/XTR's. M596's use a totally different pad design.0
-
Sorry, yes, I have 596 and older XT and they use the same pads, not the new ones.I don't do smileys.

I see. My new XTs have come with the finned pads. Obviously that's for heat sink cooling purposes, but what's the thinking behind the sandwich rotors? Just weight saving, or is the aluminium core meant to dissipate heat better?0 -
Presumably, but I think it only makes a difference to seriously gnarrly riders, so totally wasted on you.
And me obviously.I don't do smileys.

How very dare you. I possess mad skillz, I'll have you know. Just not on a mountain bike, lol.
I'm not thinking of buying the rotors, was just curious what the thinking behind them was. I have a spare 300mm one of these in my loft, wonder if it would fit my Boardman, lol...

Only problem I can see is the bolts may not line up.
If you glued two together with toast you'd kinda have ice tech, and a snack as well.I don't do smileys.

I only have one though. Bought it for my TDR 250, and that has a single disc. Oh, I have a set of new EBC discs for my Bandit up there too though, I could glue those together. Will Bostik work?0 -
Marmite tastes better.I don't do smileys.

In the q and a someone from wiggle (I think) said these pads are suitable for deore brakes. I assumed what I bought was just two sets of them. I blame wiggle0 -
They were 1 year and 9 months ago.
Should have read this one:

-
Is it really that hard to just list what brakes are compatible with the advertised pad? Superstar have been the best so far but even they dont make sense0
-
surely I can't be the first person to replace pads on these brakes...0

Can ANYONE tell me what pads I need?0
