7800 / 6700 front mech compatibility

Looking for some advice on whether a 7800 dura ace shifter will work okay with a 6700 ultegra front mech, I'm guessing that it will be fine but can't find anything documented to say it will. Anyone tried this combo?

    Yep, works fine. The only FD recently made that is shifter specific is the DA 7900 and now 9000/6800 11s stuff. 9000/6800 LH shifter shifts 9000/6800 Fders only..no backwards compatibility.
