Hi guys

I need to buy a rear mech hanger for my Campy Veloce 10spd rear mech, it completely sheared off on me..long story. Did some googling and looked on CRC etc and doesn't look like Campy sells spares of these, am I wrong? If so can what sort of hanger do I need to get and where from? Thanks

no you do not. you need a mech hanger for the frame that you have frame hangers and make/model/and often year specific.

this is of cause presuming that you do actually need a hanger and not some part of the mech.

Ah yes ok I'm finding some hangers now. Yes the hanger is broken. How would I know what type/model number of hanger to buy? I have a giant scr 3.0 2007 bike.

Or if you have the old bits - take it to a local shop - they probably have a box full of different ones. And if they don't they'll have a lookup chart to work out what it is.

    This sort of thing:

have a look on Wheels manufacturing website; you should be able to identify the hanger you need there. Armed with the model info you may be able to find a UK supplier with stock.

Or ask a Giant dealer, then go with the cheapest option

Ok many thanks g00se keef66 and on-yer-bike. I can't find anything on my SCR 3, doing a bit of googling tho I have found that it's pretty much a watered down OCR with a less extreme riding position. You guys think I'd be safe enough going for the OCR hanger?
  • Worth taking a look on SOShanger.com ... they seem to have quite a few hangers for Giant

    * edit, I've used them in the past without issue and delivery was fairly quick considering they're based in France

Take off the remains of the existing hanger and reassemble it so you can see what it looked like before it broke, then choose the OCR one that looks the same?
